Place Vaule - Multiplication

Today I got to finish of my work on maths. My work is about multiplication and addition. What my group did was we got to get a question and write a maths story and also do a screencastify or explain how we did it and I decided to do an explanation. The question I have picked was 316x7 and than I used my Hundreds , Tens and ones from the place value and than I used addition at the end. The solving I fund really easy it the Tens colon because I knew the answer straight away. What I really like about this was I got to learn more about my time tables.

Duffy Assembly

Today we got to have Duffy assembly. We got to have cool visitors. What I really liked about this Duffy assembly is that we got to learn more about the visitors and why they loved reading. The reason why I have chosen those books is because I love reading Geronimo Stilton books and the other reason why I chose the other book because I loved how it had a mystery in the story. 

The Tunnel Of The Unknown

The Tunnel of the unknown…..

There was a girl stuck in the dark, scary, black Tunnel. her name was Emily.
Emily was a strange student at her school.
Her parents couldn’t ask her if she needed help on her tests because
she would always disappear at school and before they came home from work.
when Emily runs away while the dark blue sky is out she tries to find a secret
hideout. But one night she entered a dark forest. The moon was shining down
and starts shimmering with light. The view was stunning and a sudden light shined
towards the tunnel.

Today we got to finish a setting describer on a picture called Tunnel. What we did for this was we got to write a setting describe on the picture and try to put an adjectives and similes and more. What I really liked about this was I got to
write my own setting describer and make it scary and happy.

Blog Commenting

Today my class has been blog commenting on different schools. Today we blogged comment on Ruma Tahi @ Karoro School. The person I have commented on was Noah. I have been leaving nice comments and questions. What I really like about blog commenting is that we get to see other people work and we can leave them good feedback's.

Professor Stephen Hawking

Sadly Professor Stephen Hawking passed away last week. Today we have been finishing of a DLO we have created that is based on Professor Stephen Hawking. What we did for this DLO is that we got to answer some question but put it in our own words. This DLO is meant to show how Professor Stephen Hawking was a very good person and how he was a very famous Physicist. What I really like about making this DLO is that I got to learn more about Professor Stephen Hawking.

The Hunted Adventure No Return

The haunted adventure no return!!!

There was a girl who enjoyed going to the library, her name was Isabella.

She always got mocked in other words by bullies.

After school she would always go to her favourite place the library,

because no one could touch or mock her. She would always go to the library

and issue more than one book. After the library she would always go to her

very own secret hideout, where she kept all of her books. The book she really

likes is Harry potter or Alice  in wonderland. But when she reads it she always

finds a mystery and she tries to find out more about it. Than she heard there was

this haunted library with books no one has never seen before.

This just wanted Isabella

to find out more about this spooky library.

But when both of her feet touched the dirty

sticky carpet there was no turning back. But Isabella was trying to open t

he doors

but it didn’t work so she tried to say help me help me but than she died.

So she

gave up and no one saw her ever again.  That was the end of Isabella life

for all eternity.

Our learning today was writing. What we did for writing was we got to do a charter description. What we did was we got to describe a young girl with heaps of books around her. What my charter description is about is a young girl who would always get bullied and who went to a creepy libaray. What I really like about this is that I got to make my one about her having a happy life but than turning it into a scary life. 

Tense - Past , Present and future

Our learning for today was writing. What my group did for writing is tense. What we learnt was past , Present and Future. What we did was we had to fill in the spaces and write it in blue. What I really like about this was I got to learn more about the tense. The tense I really like is the past tense. The reason why I like the past tense is because I find it more easier.

5 main point -

Our learning for today was reading. What Brooklyn and I did for reading was the 5 main points. What we did for the 5 main pints is we got to look on a site and try to look for the 5 main points. The year Brooklyn and I did was 1976 because we wanted to learn about that year and because we find 1976 Winter Olympics interesting. What I really like about making this 5 main points DLO is that I got to learn about a new year and what sports they did. 

Making Connections

Today we got to make a DLO on making connections. What we did was we got to read a book called The Olympics and write in each box how we feel , What we read that like this and something I know that is like this. What I really like about this was I got to read an interesting book and I also got to write bits about it. The part I really like about making connections is that I got to write how I felt about this book.

The lost yet found

The Lost Yet Found

David was lost in the forest.
He was scared and tired because he had been walking for a long time.
David had a map but he didn’t know where he was, so he couldn’t find
where he was on the map.
He just decided to continue walking until he found somewhere to stay.
Being lost in the middle of the forest wasn't David's favourite thing in the world.

Today we got to make a charter description on a picture that was called
The lost Yet Found. What I really like about this is that I got to make a writing
story and I also tried to make it sound really interesting.

5 main points - Hard Ice and Soft Ice

Our learning for reading for today was based on what is the 5 main points in the article called Hard Ice and Soft Ice. What we did was we find the five main points and write it down. The main point I really liked was my fifth main point and that was " Snow Flakes don't grow bigger than a thumbnail but some can grow bigger that your palm. What I really like about this was I got to write 5 main points about snow and hail.

Sketch Models

On Friday we had tech. What my group did was graphics. What we did for graphics was we got to make sketch models. How we made these was we got to pick what we wanted to make for our mobile phone holders and I have chosen bay max because I wanted to see if I could do a science fiction movie person. What we made out of our sketch models is called Plasticine what this is is that it is a soft modelling material. What I really like about graphics is that we are starting to make our mobile holders and we get to decorate as well,

Agent Of Change

For today's learning I got to make a DLO on how I can be an agent of change. The reason why we are doing a DLO about agent of change is because it is to help us set our goals we look for and how we could be agents of change in our own 2018 learning journey. What I really like about this is that I can set one of my goals and I can also achieve it. My favourite goal is to "Be confident in myself when I speak at assembly".
